    Fourier Shape Analysis (FSA) is a powerful software application developed on the basis of Fourier analysis to unambiguously classify particles according to their general form, roundness and surface texture. The classification is obtained by applying a novel methodology; calculating the cumulative amplitude spectrum (CAS). The proposed methodology divides CAS into three main regions associated with general form, roundness and surface texture. The utility of FSA and CAS was demonstrated by applying the method to a real-life case. FSA was developed on the graphical user interface (GUI) of MATLAB. The software is stand-alone and works under the Windows platform. The software is use-friendly and can be downloaded Executable Download or Code .

    Radons is a software used to classify the roundness of sedimentary rocks. RadonS is a freely distributed and original software developed in our laboratories. RadonS was programmed on Graphical User Interface from MATLAB. It is a stand-alone software developed under Windows platform. The algorithm described in this work is easy to be executed using RadonS software and for the ultimate user, it is not necessary to have the mathematical bases of the Radon transform. Download

    Powerful software for image segmentation and binary image processing. ImageS software has useful pre-processing tools such as ROI, linear and non-linear filtering, lighting correction, among others. The segmentation algorithms are EC-QMMF, active contours, Fuzzy-GMM and GMM. For processing of binary images there are morphological operations, separation particle touching and manual editing.     FabricS (Fabric Software) is a powerful software developed by LAIMA group which allows to obtain fabric, a textural parameter of sedimentary deposits, using digital image processing. Algorithm is based on circular statistic principles. Output of the software is a image and text file which contains circular statistic parameters such as mean, iso-orientation, variance and orientations. We developed a tool that realizes the Rose Diagram. Download

    We developed a novel software, based on segmentation for color image, using Entropy-Controlled Quadratic Markov Measures Field Models developed by Rivera M. and Dalmau O. (2012). OPTGRAN software obtained the optical granulometry by segmenting the color image. The algorithm use the mask (result of segmentation) and Rosiwal's stereological intercept method. Download

    Profiles 2.1 Profiles is a powerful software which allows to analyze profiles of sedimentary deposits automatically. The software is based on the segmentation of digital images and Rosiwal's stereological intercept method.The images of sedimentary deposits that can be analyzed are those that have a contrast in color between the clasts and matrix. The resulting file contains the particle size distribution per line and complete profile and important statistical parameters such as; mean, variance, skewness, cortosis, percentiles, among others.
